anyways, he's a lover and a fighter, some friends could help him along the way, and enemies are inevitable. all of his greatest secrets and fears lie here

friends for bastian can be hard to come by, because he has trouble letting people get close to him. he fears he will lose them to death the way he lost his mother, which is one thing he will never talk about to anyone other than his best friend. he could easily find a friend in a fellow Quidditch player and fan, and someone who loves potions, DADA, and herbology like he does. a fellow lover of knowledge is someone he could get close to, and anyone who has all of these things in common with him could become his best friend in a heartbeat. this gryffindor is competitive in almost everything he does, so one could expect a bit of tension when it comes to sports or even grades sometimes. although bastian has difficulty with trust, he mates for life. enemies can be found mostly in the house of slytherin, because having the name longbottom does come with its cons. he despises people who are overconfident, and frowns upon muggle-born haters. blood status to him does not matter, being a half-blood. quidditch players from other houses can expect an unhealthy rivalry, but not quite as far as enemies. bastian isn't afraid to open his mouth, which has led him into trickier situations than necessary. as for lovers, bastian is looking for the right girl. he is a sucker for blue eyes and has had crushes and flings in his past, but never anything serious. there are no commitment issues when it comes to him and relationships, but the trust issues are still an underlying factor. he seems to let the girl walk all over him, and has been told time and time again to form a spine, but sometimes, you just can't stay away.....

Enemies/Rivals. You're in Gryffindor and we're natural enemies. Plus, the fact that you're in Quidditch adds to the rivals. Plus, as the only two guys on this board so far, I think they should just really hate each other. lol.

I think rivals/enemies is well-suited for the two of them. Same year, Gryffindor vs. Slytherin, Quidditch players. Both are Chasers, now that I go and look. Bastian can be kind of reserved, but when he's mad he won't hold back. So I think that the two of them being enemies, maybe more rivals rather than enemies, would be good. I can see Bastian respecting Xavier, but not publically, just in his head respecting him, along with his famous dad Victor. Any ideas for plot would be good.
